Kevin MacNeill

Kevin MacNeill has helped employers solve human resources problems for nearly 30 years.

He is a member of the bars of Ontario, Quebec and New York and regularly practices law in both English and French.

Kevin has extensive experience in all areas of employment and labor litigation, including grievance arbitration, union certifications, pension litigation, wrongful dismissal lawsuits, discrimination claims, occupational safety and health defense, and workers’ compensation. He has litigated before a multitude of administrative tribunals and in the civil courts, where he has acted in several trials, judicial review proceedings and appeals.

Being a seasoned litigator, Kevin brings employers added value through proactive strategic advice. He has negotiated collective agreements, and advised in sale of business, workforce restructuring and reduction in force situations. He has extensive experience in the areas of human rights, accommodation, workers’ compensation, and disability management.

Kevin is the author of The Duty to Accommodate in Employment, the leading text on the subject, published by Thomson Reuters, which has been cited in several arbitration and court decisions across Canada.
